Ingredients

  • 500 g beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions
 

  • Season the beef slices with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  • Heat one tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until it's browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the wok and set aside.
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • In the same wok, add the remaining oil. Stir-fry the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and broccoli until the vegetables are just tender.

  • Return the beef to the wok, add the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well to combine.

  • Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to stir-fry for another minute, or until the sauce has thickened.

  • Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

Feel free to add any vegetables you have on hand, such as carrots, snap peas, or mushrooms. For a spicier kick, add a dash of chili flakes or sriracha sauce.
